Common Man

In these troubled times,
God
can reach the heart of the common man
more easily through
Meher Baba
than
through the teachings of the
older avathars
which,
though inherently universal in character,
were adapted by their early followers
to the regional requirements,
customs and traditions of their times.

It becomes
more and more difficult, almost impossible,
to lift the earlier teachings out of their older contexts
and apply them to the
universal requirements of human evolution
as we reach and traverse modern times.

A great failure of human civilization
looms before us
amidst indications of progressive rejection
of
what is good for man
in all parts of the world.

In trying to dispense the ancient divine elixir
from aged deteriorating containers
with a fanatic belief in customs of the past,
there is a great chance of failure in God's pristine teachings
reaching the common man.

A
"communication gap"
has arrived
and is vastly widening with the passing of time.

Our coming generations will be left
restless and leaderless,
without peace, safety and security that basic
"pure spirituality"
alone can provide.

The progressive spiritual evolution of man
will be put to stake.

We should not allow our valuable human civilization
that ancient prophets built for us so meticulously,
to be destroyed for want of commonsense
in
spiritual management.

God has appeared again amidst our midst as

has put the immortal wine of God

without the loss of its original taste and flavor,
for the coming generations to imbibe.

has laid out a new path for us to follow
and save the world.

and He came to us.

Sri Krishna
said,

"Geetha",

"It is now up to you.
Take it or leave it."

If we reject the Lord's timely message
through His
avathaars,
we will have to face the consequences
of rejection of God's word
that the
New Avathar
has relayed to us.

Common Sense

Uncommon men, talented, rich, powerful and influential
rise above others by their brains and they are proud of it.

Common men, not being so endowed, stay at the bottom
and, naturally, do not feel quite happy about it.

The brain is fed by the five senses with the additional help
of various instruments in various stages of technological
advancement giving it a mastery over all it surveys.

But there is a sixth sense, that the physical body
does not contain, which is associated with the subtler parts
of man.

The intense activity of the brain supported by its five senses
suppresses and prevents the influence of this sixth sense
on the physical part of man.

This sixth sense is "Common Sense" !

Food for the Common Man

In his constant preoccupation to make both ends meet,
the common man's family finds no time to make home food.

With more members of the family working to earn their living,
preparing home food is becoming a rarity in many families.
_
Manufacturers of food can seize this opportunity
to sell substandard foods supported by attractive packing
and dazzling advertisement.

The common man must be on constant guard
to prevent being exploited by the unscrupulous.

Governments of nations must take up this task
as a priority to secure the health of the common man
and his natural immunity to infectious diseases.
